Sanef has established a hotline that enables journalists in South Africa to report acts of intimidation and violence. Freedom of the media and freedom of expression are enshrined and protected by the South African Constitution and should be respected by society as a whole. For Sanef it is critically important for journalists to be allowed to conduct their work without fear or favour.
